In 1912 Mary Ellen moved to the mill town of Chadderton in Oldham, Lancashire,  with children Hannah, Louise, Margaret, Ellis and Ida. They lived att 85 Wellington Street. Read more about the children here.

Stan Howarth, grandson of Mary Ellen, recalls:

“Grandma Henderson’s house was 85, Wellington Street, Chadderton. The address where I was born was I think number 87, Wellington Street. I think the family moved next door because it was slightly bigger in some way.”

Great grandmother Mary Ellen Henderson died in 1932 in Chadderton, Oldham, Lancashire age 74 and was buried in Farnworth St. Luke’s churchyard.
